DIY Hand Sanitizer For Protection Against Coronavirus

Good luck trying to find Hand Sanitizer online, in stores or begging friends on social media!  The amount of hoarders out there is unbelievable and it’s amazing how humanitarianism does not seem to exist during this global crisis! Coronavirus Pandemic of 2020 will go down in history for its shortage of toilet paper, paper towels, and hand sanitizer!!!  Very frightening, don’t ya think????

But hey, there are a few of us civilized, level headed people out there who are remaining calm and ready to help others in need for absolutely NOTHING in return!  (what a concept!)

Did you know that you can make your own Hand Sanitizer at home.  It’s really quite simple and affordable.  You will need the following ingredients:

91% Rubbing Alcohol – 2/3 cup

Vegetable Glycerin – 1/3 cup

Sweet Almond Oil – 4 drops

Lavender Oil – 2 drops

Orange Oil – 2 drops

Tea Tree Oil – 2 drops

2 – 4oz plastic container/spray bottle

Most of these items can be found on if you do not want to head to CVS, Target, Whole Foods or Walgreens.

Start by mixing the rubbing alcohol and the vegetable oil. Then add the sweet almond, orange, lavender, and tea tree oil.  Mix/shake well.  Use a funnel to pour hand sanitizer carefully into your spray bottle.  Put on lid, shake well and spray all over your hands.  Rub into the skin front, back and fingertips!

This recipe yields around three 2-3 ounce bottles.

Make it a family project and stay safe everyone! We Are In This Together, no matter what!!!
